sealing clothes dryer vent

Will gorilla tape withstand the warmth and moisture in the exhaust of a clothes dryer (electric)? I need to seal where the vent pipe goes through the drywall, so the adhesion would be from metal pipe to painted drywall and painted wood trim.

Thanks.

Re: sealing clothes dryer vent

I have used Gorilla Tape on my dryer vent and it works great.  The key is to make sure the surfaces are completely clean and dry before applying the tape.  My application, however, is metal to metal.  Gorilla Tape has such an aggressive adhesive that I usually warn people when choosing to use it on painted surfaces.  It will appear that the tape is not holding but what it has actually done is pulled the paint right off the surfaces!  I would perhaps use a different tape on your specific application.
