Project #2
Terra Cotta Cake Stand
Materials Needed:
Gorilla Glue™
Gorilla Tape™-1" wide roll
6"x6" Terra Cotta Flower Pot
10"x10" Terra Cotta Saucer
Assorted Shells
Deco Art™ Patio Paint™ Indoor/Outdoor Acrylic- Terra Cotta Color
Method
Step 1. Apply glue to the bottom of the pot and spray it with water. Center the bottom of the pot to the center inside of the saucer (the bottom of the saucer will become the top side of the cake stand). Place a weight on top of this combo until the glue is dry.

Step 2. Remove weight and coat the cake stand with two coats of Terra Cotta Paint.
Step 3. Apply Shells to the sides of the cake stand by applying glue to the bottom of the shell, spritzing the shell with water, and placing it on the cake stand. Secure shell with Gorilla Tape until glue is dry. The 1" tape can be torn into smaller strips if necessary and can be reused after the shell is dry.

Note: If any of the glue is visible, it can be trimmed off or painted over (Gorilla Glue is paintable) with Terra Cotta paint. You can also leave the glue, since it looks like sea foam.
Want More?
- Use a glass cake dome on top of the cake stand. Add a shell or two to the top of the dome with Gorilla Glue.
- Stack progressively smaller pots and saucers to make a tiered food server.
- Add a cheese dome to the top of the saucer
- Server can be stacked on top of the cake stand for a taller server.

Use: You can use your new serving platter for many occasions, just add food and set the table and your Terra Cotta Cake Stand will be a show stopper.
